3. Charge the battery correctly
The battery is the heart of your electric bike. For a long service life:
Charge the battery at room temperature.
When the vehicle is not in use for an extended period, store the battery at around 60–80% charge.
Do not leave the battery completely empty for long periods of time.
- When using the bike for the first time in the season, it is wise to test the condition of the battery. Do this by setting the maximum assistance level and then cycling for about 5 minutes. Let the battery do most of the work. If the battery is in normal to good condition, it should be able to keep up.

4. Check the brakes
Test the braking power – The brake must engage immediately and powerfully. Does the lever move too far toward the handlebars? If so, adjustment is necessary.
Check for wear – Check whether there is still sufficient brake material on the pads. Squeaking or grinding may indicate wear or contamination.
Keep the brake disc/braking surface clean – Clean with a cloth and some alcohol (no oil or grease) if necessary.
Check after unfolding – On a folding bike, cables may shift slightly after transport or folding.
Not sure if they're working properly? Have your brakes checked at your dealer or service center. A small adjustment can make a big difference in safety and comfort.
